In 2009 the world celebrates the International Year of Astronomy to commemorate the 400th anniversary of Galileo's use of a telescope to study the night sky.

Our campaign to keep our starry skies
The Government has now legislated to make light pollution a Statutory Nuisance after much hard campaigning by us and our supporters. This is, potentially, an important new law for fighting the worst types of light pollution. We've raised awareness about light pollution, but we can do more to keep our starry nights.
