The North Cheshire Green Belt includes the stunning Alderley Edge, where, even if you've never heard the legend of the Wizard, you can still feel the magic in the air. Standing on "the Edge" of this 600ft high sandstone escarpment, you can see across the Green Belt as far as Stockport and Manchester, and appreciate how effective it is in holding back the urban sprawl.
