Stevenage Green Belt. Photo: Campaign Against Stevenage Expansion

A massive area of Green Belt in Stevenage is under threat from plans for 10,000 houses. It is the largest planned loss of Green Belt anywhere in the country in the last 50 years. It is also designated as a Landscape Conservation Area and includes high quality agricultural land. The tranquil countryside is accessible to all, with a network of footpaths and ancient green lanes and is free from roads. These photographs were taken in a competition as part of the Campaign Against Stevenage Expansion (CASE).
