CPRE says no to flights which shatter tranquillity
CPRE strongly objects to the proposals for airspace changes in the Terminal Control North region. These changes affect the Chilterns and Luton area, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, and parts of Essex and Hertfordshire, and threaten previously tranquil rural areas.

We have written a response to the consultation document on Terminal Control North: Proposed Changes to Airspace.

Heathrow airport expansion
The Government launched its consultation into expansion for Heathrow in November last year. The consultation closed on 27 February this year and the Government is expected to make a decision later this year. If the plans go ahead, the number of planes could rise from 473,000 a year to over 720,000. This will mean the demolition of hundreds, even thousands, of homes and will also bring more noise disturbance. A third runway at Heathrow will mean the imminent arrival of more noise, pollution and climate change.
