Autumn Conference & drinks reception 2017

CPRE’s 2017 Autumn Conference, Thursday 2 November

We are excited to announce that our national Autumn Conference will be taking place on Thursday 2 November, 10.30am – 18.30pm. The positive feedback we received last year about the location and setting of the venue – as well as the excellent food! - means that we will be returning to The Studio, 7 Canon Street, Birmingham, B2 5EP. Please put the date in your diary and have a think about those people who would be best placed to attend from your branch/region. Numbers are the same as last year, with spaces for three branch and two regional representatives.

Excitingly, this year the Conference will have an extra element – a post-conference drinks reception. We regularly receive feedback from branches and regions that you’d value more time for talking to each other and sharing ideas and information. So, taking this into account, a drinks reception will be held within The Studio, straight after the day’s activities. The conference will finish at 17.00 as normal, with a bar open until 18.30 to give people a greater opportunity to discuss key issues with colleagues from all across the country.

One of the main aims of this year’s Autumn Conference is to have a greater focus on CPRE’s campaigns. Building on the success of the Housing White Paper engagement event in March, we hope to make Conference a fully collaborative occasion, learning from each other about our campaigns work and sharing the good, the bad and even the ugly (!) in the spirit of ‘One CPRE’. More information will follow, with the agenda and online booking link circulated towards the end of the summer.

Like last year, it would be wonderful to have a good spread of representatives from each branch – from volunteers, to executive members and staff. We hope that the conference, and its all-important networking opportunity, will result in a very collaborative and positive event. Hope to see lots of you there.
