In 2011 we used eight billion carrier bags and this is an increase on previous years. This is a huge waste of valuable resources and often adds to the problem of litter.

The Campaign to Protect Rural England, Keep Britain Tidy, the Marine Conservation Society and Surfers Against Sewage have launched the Break the Bag Habit campaign.

Join us in calling for the introduction of a charge for single-use carrier bags in England and help us break the bag habit.
