Planning campaign briefing 2 - Green Belts

Thursday, 02 August 2012 12:28

The National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) leaves established policy for Green Belts largely unchanged. However, Green Belt land is likely to be under greater threat than before as a result of the development and growth policies in the NPPF. This, the second in CPRE's new series of planning campaign briefings, shows how strong local campaigning can help protect our existing Green Belts and even create new ones. The briefing includes campaign tips and an analysis of law and policy changes introduced by the Localism Act 2011 and the NPPF (March 2012).
