Earlier this year, CPRE’s LitterFree Durham campaign had tremendous success with its Big Spring Clean, with 1,300 volunteers from local schools and community groups collecting 1,500 sacks of litter from across the county.

Their efforts were praised by local councils, who backed the campaign, with Durham Councillor Brian Stephens commenting: ‘CPRE’s LitterFree Durham campaign not only improves our streets and playgrounds, but it helps educate everyone on why it is important to help us to keep them that way.’
