AGM and Conference 2019

CPRE AGM and Conference: 26-27 June. The Studio, Birmingham, B2 5E

We are delighted to invite you to our very first combined AGM and Conference. You are welcome to come to either of the days or, even better, both!

Day 1: The day will include the AGM in the morning, followed by the launch of the Strategic Plan 2020-2026. In the afternoon, we will be running workshops showcasing projects and activities across the CPRE network. We invite you to join us for a drinks reception at the end of the day, where there will be a short volunteer awards presentation. In the evening, the national Trustee Board and Senior Management Team then invite you to join them for dinner at San Carlo in central Birmingham.
Day 2: We will welcome Emma Bridgewater, who will celebrate our new Purpose and Brand and the University of Derby who will be showcasing their work on Nature Connectedness and Wellbeing. There will be more opportunities to take part in more workshops across a variety of topics.

Booking: All active volunteers and members of staff are invited! Please spread the word!

Workshops: There are between 7-8 workshops taking place on each day, with some repeated to allow people to attend their top choices as far as possible. If you have multiple people attending from your local group or region, try to space yourselves out to cover as many workshops as possible.

Keynote speech: Our keynote speech on Day 2, 'Pathways to Nature Connectedness and Wellbeing', will be delivered by researchers from the University of Derby. Nature connectedness is a psychological construct that describes a person’s relationship with nature. Being connected to nature brings wellbeing benefits to people, and also for nature through increased pro-environmental behaviours. This talk will introduce the pathways to nature connectedness and how they can be applied to improve connection with the rest of the natural world.

We’re very much looking forward to an inspirational and collaborative conference that will launch a new era for CPRE, and hope you’ll be able to join us!
