About Eyes and Ears

The Eyes and Ears volunteer scheme is a way for local people to let us know about planning issues in their community.

We now have 20 Eyes and Ears team members based all around the county. They let us know about planning applications and development proposals in their local area. We take a closer look and take action when appropriate – by commenting on a planning application, giving advice to residents or requesting further information. We let team members know the outcome of any concerns they’ve alerted us to.

Want to help?

We’re always glad to welcome new ‘Eyes and Ears’ volunteers – you don’t need to know about the planning system, or be a member of CPRE. Anyone can join the team. If you know an interested friend, family member or colleague, please ask them to get in touch! As a volunteer, you’ll receive an Eyes and Ears e-bulletin from us, and our annual newsletter.
By joining our Eyes and Ears team, you can help make a difference to your community and become more involved in CPRE’s work in protecting our countryside.
