England’s 14 Green Belts cover over a tenth (13%) of the land, and provide a breath of fresh air for 45 million people. Altogether, 88% of the population lives in the urban areas within Green Belt boundaries.

We are campaigning for a strong Government commitment to uphold existing policy and carry out an urgent review of the latest threats to the Green Belt. We are also campaigning for local authorities to use their planning powers to force landowners to clean up land rather than build on it.
