CPRE has existed for almost a century, and volunteers have been at the heart of our successes. Every volunteer makes a difference to the countryside that we’re so passionate about, and we value their contribution enormously. With your support, we can achieve even more.
As we live with the uncertainty of coronavirus, we’ve moved much of our volunteering online so it can be carried out safely from home. Our volunteering community is active and well connected, and we continue to make the countryside a better place for everyone to live, work and enjoy.
We have lots of different volunteering opportunities available at our local groups across England and we’d love you to join us, so find your volunteering role now!
You can keep an eye on the latest government guidance on staying safe whilst volunteering here and read a message about CPRE and coronavirus from Crispin, our chief executive, here.
Why volunteer with us?
By volunteering with a local CPRE, you’ll be helping enhance the countryside where you live and meeting people with similar interests. You’ll gain new skills and get all the training you need in your volunteering role. You’ll be part of a friendly and supportive team and can join in with social events, workshops and our annual conference.
Our volunteers support us in many different ways including the leadership of local CPRE groups, fundraising, providing specialist advice, managing social media channels, maintaining websites, picking litter and much more!
We want you to have an excellent volunteering experience with us, and so we’ve made commitments to our volunteers.
Our volunteer hub
We have a dedicated hub of information for our volunteers. This is your one-stop-shop for everything you need to know about volunteering with us, from finding opportunities to guidance and support.
Ready to explore? Get stuck in by logging into the hub now.
We’re rolling out this volunteer hub system and so not all of our local CPRE groups are sharing information on it yet. These groups have vacancies and information on the hub: Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cheshire, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Lancashire, Leicestershire, London, North Yorkshire, Rutland, Somerset, Staffordshire, Warwickshire.
If you’re interested in volunteering for a local CPRE not yet listed here, please contact them directly. You can find your local group and their contact details here.
Coming soon: roles with our national CPRE team
We’ll soon have volunteering opportunities available for our national CPRE office, so do check back here. Many of these new roles can be done from home.
