CPRE, the countryside charity is looking for a public affairs officer who can support our political engagement across a number of campaigns and policy areas.

With an exciting new strategy and brand now in place, CPRE, the countryside charity, is looking for a public affairs officer who can support our political engagement across a number of campaigns and policy areas.

With a local CPRE in almost every English county, we campaign to promote, enhance and protect the countryside for everyone’s benefit, wherever they live.

As public affairs officer, you will support the development and delivery of the CPRE’s public affairs activities, raising our profile, improving our reputation and increasing our influence among policymakers.

You will already have some experience in a public affairs role, ideally in the charity, environment, or planning sector. CPRE’s campaigns are both responsive and proactive, and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment is a must.

We are looking for someone with a real passion and energy for public affairs, with the ability to work across teams and with colleagues across the CPRE network of local groups. The successful candidate will enjoy a busy and varied approach to their work, being able to balance a number of competing priorities.

CPRE places high value on equality. We treat everyone with respect and consideration because we know it’s the right thing to do. We also know that diverse teams make much better decisions, are more creative and more stimulating to work in. So, if you join us, you will be able to help us put equality, the environment and diversity at the centre of everything we do.

We hope you like the sound of the job and will take the time to apply!

To apply
Candidates should read the candidate information pack and job and person specification below then complete the application form (CVs will not be accepted). Please make sure you address the criteria outlined in the job and person specification; failing to do so will mean you will be unlikely to be shortlisted. Please send your completed application to jobs@cpre.org.uk by the closing date.
