Gemma Jerome
Dr Gemma Jerome FLI is a Senior Lecturer in Urban Planning & Resilience at the University of Kent and the Founding Director (Emeritus) of Building with Nature. A Fellow of the Landscape Institute and former BSI Lead for the BS8683 (BNG) Standard, she has spent over a decade defining national benchmarks for high-quality green infrastructure. Gemma’s work focuses on the intersection of climate adaptation and robust environmental stewardship, ensuring that new housing developments deliver long-term social and environmental value. She serves on the CPRE National Policy and Campaigns Committee, advocating for evidence-based rural planning and resilient countryside communities.
