Alasdair Forman – 2024 Trustee Awards

‘Alasdair is a key member of the team and a trustee since 2019. He delivered the Greater Manchester Ringway, applying to the NHLF (National Lottery Heritage Fund) three times to secure funding. The Ringway is a 200-mile walking trail passing through every borough in Greater Manchester (e.g. Bolton, Bury, Stockport, Wigan, Trafford, Salford) with every stage fully accessible by public transport, its own app, over 30 stage “guardians” to lead walks and the collaboration of local communities and businesses. It was a full time commitment and without his determination, perseverance and very hard work it would not have happened. He has also been a diligent, proactive, hands on and collaborative trustee.’
