Bill Byrne
Bill has made a significant contribution to the London Tree Ring initiative, both throughout the project development and planning stages, and during the first year of practical delivery within the demonstrator phase of the project during the 2025/26 planting season.
He has made a significant contribution to project management and networking with a broad diversity of stakeholders, including volunteers, community partners, social contractors, projects partners and landowners.
His approach is professional and friendly, and he is an excellent representative and champion for the London Tree Ring initiative and CPRE London.
He has provided a significant commitment of time as a volunteer, both behind the scenes undertaking administrative and planning duties in the office, on sites visits to project locations, and more recently when he has been a very willing participant in practical tree planting days at various locations across London, both midweek and at the weekend.
He brings a wealth of skills, knowledge and enthusiasm to the project and is always willing to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with other members of the team and less experienced volunteers or local community contacts.
Bill is also incredibly approachable and this has resulted in some fantastic and sustained stakeholder engagement.
