Francesca Hughes – 2025 Volunteer Awards

CPRE Northamptonshire would like to recognise Francesca Hughes for a CPRE Award in the Young Volunteer Contribution category. Despite only beginning her volunteering in August last year, Fran has revitalised the branch’s presence on social media, taking over its dormant Facebook account and setting up a new Instagram account. Fran regularly posts on both platforms and is building engagement with both the public and other local groups. Fran has been proactive in liaising with both national CPRE and the branch to find relevant stories, photographs and graphics to produce attractive and engaging content.

Fran is also involved with the branch’s website, which is in the process of being redesigned, rebuilt, and moved to another platform. This work is at an early stage but Fran is keen to use her skills in WordPress to help with this project. In the meantime, Fran updates and monitors the existing website.

Fran’s introduction to volunteering in the branch was not straightforward as there were some issues in enabling her to have access to Facebook and the website, but Fran was patient and helpful as these issues were being resolved.

Fran is capable, reliable and willing to help. CPRE Northamptonshire is delighted to have her as part of the team.
