Nick de Chenu – 2024 Trustee Awards

‘When Nick joined the branch committee as Treasurer in 2013, he brought with him a calm, reliable and competent presence as well as his financial and accountancy skills. Nick has steered the branch finances through some challenging situations, including the lack of a Chairman for several months, the constraints and difficulties imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic and restrictions, and a change in administrative support. Throughout Nick’s 10+ years of service the branch has been able to rely on him completely to fulfill the demanding requirements of the role of Treasurer; his professionalism and commitment has meant that the branch committee has been able to carry out its work with confidence. Due in no small part to Nick’s diligent and skilled management, the branch is in good financial shape despite only being a small branch with a constrained income. As Nick now retires from the committee after a long and challenging period of service he will be greatly missed. We would like to nominate Nick for a Special Trustee award to reflect his long and exceptional service.’
