Xihui Chen

Xihui has been a Trustee of CPRE Derbyshire (now CPRE Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire) for 3 years. In addition to her Trustee role, she is also our Volunteer Co- Ordinator and helps us manage our recruitment of volunteers through the Assemble system and arranges and interviews candidates on our behalf.

Being a university lecturer in Accounting and Finance, she develops strong rapport with many of our Planning Volunteers, who are often final year students in Planning or Architecture or are undertaking their Masters degrees. We have recruited 10 new volunteers to our Committee and Planning Sub-committees in the last 12 months through Xihui’s diligence and professionalism.

In addition, Xihui managed to secure a £5k grant from Keele Business School which enabled us to run a Community Energy Vision Project with the parish of Crich in Derbyshire. She supported the events and published some research in connection with the project.

We believe Xihui is a great candidate to receive an Everyday Excellence Award.
