Love Your Countryside
Coming September 2026
A celebration of the extraordinary ordinary
Our favourite countryside isn’t always the most well-known. It might be the place you walk the dog. The landscape that tells you you’re nearly home.
These are the everyday places where community and countryside meet – part of how we live, work and feel connected to nature and each other.
This September, we’re inviting you to celebrate the countryside you love. To explore it, share it and show what it means to you.
What’s happening in September
For the whole of Love Your Countryside month, we’ll be bringing you four weeks of countryside – ideas for getting out, ways of seeing the countryside differently, stories and perspectives from people who love it as much as you do, and thoughts on what its future could look like.
And we’ll be inviting you to share what the countryside means to you, adding your voice to a national celebration of the everyday places that matter.
Branches across England will also be hosting local walks throughout the month.
Why we’re doing it
The countryside shapes all our lives. As CPRE marks 100 years of championing it, this is an opportunity to show why that matters.
Love Your Countryside is about recognising the value of the places that are already part of our daily lives and celebrating the many ways people connect with them. Because the best way to protect something is to help more people love it.
