Hedgerow Heroes Phase Five report

Hedgerows are the vital stitching in the patchwork of our countryside. Not only are they beautiful, with shifting seasonal colours, but they also provide homes and corridors for wildlife. They are climate superheroes, capturing carbon and slowing the flow of water. Hedgerow Heroes is CPRE’s flagship hedgerow planting and restoration project.

Hedgerow Heroes Phase Five has been the project’s most ambitious and successful season to date, with participation from 13 local CPRE branches. This year aims to deliver 100 miles of hedgerow planting and restoration to celebrate CPRE’s Centenary year and we are now within reach!
