Dr Peter Wilford – 2023 Trustee Awards

‘Dr Peter Wilford has been nominated as a Champion of the Berkshire Countryside, of more than 3 Decades, a loyal and valuable volunteer for CPRE for 31 years! Prior to that he was Chair of the then, local Civic Society in Wokingham. Starting as a CPRE volunteer, he has been a District Chairman of Wokingham, Vice Chairman of Berkshire, Acting Chairman of Berkshire, whilst maintaining his role of the CPRE District Chairman of Wokingham Borough. Despite Wokingham Borough seeing more development than any other similar District in the country (such as Lower Earley, Woodley Airfield, Woosehill, Spencers Wood, Shinfield, North Wokingham and South Wokingham) adding up to tens of thousands of houses, Peter has campaigned consistently to support and protect the countryside for our future generations.’
