From wasted space to living spaces: the availability of brownfield land

For this 2014 report, CPRE commissioned researchers from the University of the West of England (UWE) to calculate an accurate figure for housing capacity on suitable brownfield land and specify how land like this might be brought forward for development.

The report looks at the economic and policy drivers for brownfield development and analyses local authority approaches to identifying land and engaging with local people.
