CPRE response to the Future Homes Building Standard consultation

The Standards are vital in encouraging decarbonisation through an increase in energy from solar PVs on new homes and buildings in the future. We consider the climate emergency to be the biggest threat our countryside faces, and the more solar energy we get from our rooftops and other wasted spaces, the more green fields can be saved for farming and nature. All buildings should be as sustainable as possible, relying on the best techniques available to ensure energy efficiency.
