Local Green Spaces report, 2022

CPRE’s February 2022 research into what tools are currently available in the toolbox of the planning system for local people to protect the local green spaces they value most from getting lost to development, and how these tools are being used.

We found great public enthusiasm for the opportunities that the special designations offer – but gaps in uptake and many areas where more locally valued spaces can be preserved.
